Healing Reads: Supporting Psychiatry Patients and Families

Donate To This Campaign

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and we are once again inviting you to support patient wellness by helping us supply healing reads for our adult and pediatric psychiatric inpatient unit libraries.

The Joseph and Karen Krantz Family Charitable Foundation is again offering a dollar-for-dollar match on all donations to the Healing Reads Psychiatry Library Fund during May! In partnership with Booksweet, a bookstore in Ann Arbor, we are committed to stocking our adult and pediatric psychiatric inpatient unit libraries with books and mental health resources to enrich and support patients during their hospital stays — and throughout their healing journey.

Your gift will enable us to purchase an array of healing reads including non-fiction books, novels, activity books, coloring books, mental health workbooks, and more, for our inpatient libraries. These are incredibly valuable resources for our adult and pediatric inpatients and their families, offering them entertaining reads, mindfulness activities, and important resources.

Last year’s Mental Health Month book drive has had a meaningful impact for those on the path to wellness, allowing us to provide quarterly book restocks to both the adult and pediatric inpatient units. We are committed to ensuring these vital resources are always available to those who need them, and hope you’ll consider supporting our effort, and doubling the impact, by making a gift today!

We are incredibly grateful to the Joseph and Karen Krantz Family Charitable Foundation for offering this unique dollar-for-dollar matching opportunity for our patients, their families, and our staff.
